History and Mission News and Events
The ASQ Carolina Lowcountry Section is one of about 250 sections nationally that are member units of the American Society for Quality, a non-profit professional society.  Section 1122 was chartered in November 1978, and currently has approximately 170 members.

The geographic area of our membership coverage is, in general, the coastal counties of South Carolina.  In addition to the Charleston/North Charleston metropolitan area, this includes towns such as Summerville, Hilton Head, Beaufort, Walterboro, Georgetown, and Myrtle Beach.

Programs & Community Involvement
The Carolina Lowcountry Section has a number of programs for our membership, and for the communities we live in.  We regularly work in cooperation with the local business community, educational institutions, and others to benefit the community and improve our members' professional standing.  Some of these include:
  • Community quality awards program
  • ASQ certification classes
  • Science Fair
  • Seminars and Conferences
