Job Title: Manager of Quality, Safety and Compliance
ArborGen of Summerville is seeking a seasoned manager who has gained considerable working
knowledge in quality, safety and compliance matters within a manufacturing, distribution
and/or R&D facility. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of
Quality, Safety and Compliance Manager will be responsible for:
- * Plant product quality and customer satisfaction
- * Quality improvement including managing and developing quality systems
- * Audits and documentation requirements
- * Staff training and development in the use of quality tools and methodologies
- * Development and management of ArborGen’s audit program for regulatory compliance
- * Development and oversight of training programs for compliance activities and reporting
- * Development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety programs
Qualifications:
- * 7 or more years of experience in quality in biotechnology, biomanufacturing, agriculture, food and/or food ingredients or pharmaceuticals
- * A bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred
- * Ability to work in cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal communications skills
- * Well organized and an effective planner in the use of resources while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness as market needs dictate
- * Additional training and/or certifications {i.e. CQA, CQM}preferred
- * Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications

POSITION: Contract Quality Engineer
CLASSIFICATION/DESCRIPTION BRIEF:
Responsible to the Department Manager for improving processes and results within
manufacturing processes and customer relationships. Assist Diesel Systems team in meeting
business objectives/targets as outlined in Policy Deployment goals.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide internal technical support in resolving product production capability problems and defects.
- Assist customer technical support representatives in resolving functional problems with the product issues.
- Work closely with production and support departments on component machining and assembly processes and system improvements; process Change Requests.
- Work self dependently on QMM1 projects to improve cost and quality of production processes.
- Develop and support use of sound system/process improvement tools (APQP, SPC, FMEA, DOE, SPI, TOPS, CIP, etc.) used by the Diesel Systems Team.
- Complete customer quality documentation as needed (e.g., documentation for PPAP, failure analysis, and corrective action).
- Provide engineering support for auditing, measuring and testing equipment.
- Successfully work and interact within cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

- Effective problem solving skills and knowledge of statistical methods.
